Notre Dame de Paris

Notre Dame de Paris is the Paris cathedral.

Notre-Dame de Paris Cathedral, a masterpiece of Gothic architecture, is the most visited monument in France. Located in the historic center of Paris, at the end of the Ile de la Cité, its construction began in the Middle Ages. Work began in the 13th century and ended in the 15th century. Very damaged during the French Revolution, the cathedral was the subject of a restoration in the XIXth century directed by the architect Viollet-le-Duc. Many visitors admire the stained glass windows and rosettes, the towers, the spire and the gargoyles. They can also discover the Treasure of Notre-Dame and climb the towers to enjoy a panoramic view of Paris.
